In the town near to where I live there are huge signs saying Kindness. It always warms my heart to see them in the supermarket car park and along the road.
But I am seeing and I am hearing stories that somehow people are forgetting to be kind with the chaos of this time.
Somehow people are forgetting to love their neighbour and instead report them to the police for stepping outside their front door...Somehow people are forgetting to be kind to the supermarket staff and shout and curse at them... Somehow people are forgetting that there are humans reading these posts and feel that they can call them names just because they disagree with what they have written.
Somehow we as partners are forgetting to be kind to our loved ones when maybe they are struggling too...
Please remember that a lot of people are struggling.
Do you know when you dump your stuff onto someone else that you have not pushed them over the edge – especially as so many are feeling alone?
Yes, this is challenging time.
But it is a challenging time for most people.
Let us remember to be kind.
Not only to others, but to ourselves as well.
And when we feel that rage, that indignation, and that fear, take a breath.
Realise that this feeling is a chance to grow.
This feeling is a chance to develop patience and love.
So please remember to be kind.
For we will get out the other side of this.
We will.
And it is through love and kindness and by facing our fear that we will.
